Vice President
Tom Dixon, Vice President & General Manager:
I started in the lumber business at the age of 14 while working summers at Elwood Lumber Company. My first job was general clean-up and weed maintenance. I then continued to work summers in the lumberyard until I graduated from college in 1968. I spent two years in the U.S. Army, with a year in Viet Nam. After discharge from the Army, I worked at Elwood Lumber until 1985 when Elwood Lumber closed. I have been with the Beyers Lumber and Hardware team since 1985.
My wife Brenda and I have two daughters, Natalie and Elizabeth. I enjoy hunting, fishing and almost any outdoor activity. I am a lousy golfer (according to my co-workers), but I still enjoy the game. My family and I had a joint beekeeping hobby/venture for many years, but we are not currently keeping any bee hives.
My goal at Beyers is to insure that Beyers provides superior service and products to our customers while being an enjoyable place to work for all our employees.
Bart E. Beyers
Sales/Marketing
I am the 4th generation in this family owned business. By “family owned” I do not simply mean the Beyers’ family, it is a company comprised of several family members all sharing different last names. The company is because of the commitment each of us has made to each other and to the customer. I feel a special sense of pride working in a place where people come to work for more than a pay check….although; the pay is very good here at Beyers Lumber & Hardware!
My hobbies include, but are not limited to, skydiving, golfing, tennis, brewing beer, and traveling …and eating!
There are a lot of memories here at Beyers Lumber and Hardware, come and experience the history!
Thank you.
Bob Brown
Outside Sales
Hi, I’m Bob! I have worked, with my brother Mike, at Beyers Lumber and Hardware since 1979! I would say it’s like working with family here at Beyers, but I do work with family here at Beyers! It is a great company to work for under current management, but if the 4th generation takes over things may get dicey!:)
I enjoy fishing and hunting with my big brother…as long as he’s not talking about work. And I also have a black belt in karate. I have a wife Christi and two girls that I adore. It’s been wonderful working for a place like Beyers Lumber & Hardware and for a man like Ed Beyers. I hope to see you around the store soon.
Thank you for your business, Bob
